Well it's finally here, that thing you've never heard of, didn't ask for and don't want. A little while ago Nick Smerkanich, my dear friend and one of the increasing number of people who's been in more than one of my movies (that is to say, a stock player) came to me with the idea that he wanted to do a web series. This was based on his being involved in one (I feel comfortable saying it's vastly inferior to ours having never seen it) in Los Angeles and from having seen me put on a collar and start preaching during my little sister's high school graduation reception. So he thought on it and thought that such a thing could most likely carry a series and so he wrote a pilot that we tread all over when we showed up at our old high school gym with a camera and a series of ludicrous props and started rolling. Two or three weeks later we were done and now the series, A Christian Prepares, will be delivered to you very soon. So what is it? It's that thing where I play a priest you've been asking about! It's a six episode (webisode?) web series that tackles a subject we agreed no one had covered in quite this way before, that of a priest who moonlights as a religious casting agent who's actually a conman and committed sinner. So while, yes, it's possible to read into this and find yourself a leftwing hippie subtext buried under all the chuckles, melodrama and sordid goings on, those who look for it are probably not fun to be around, so what are you doing hanging out with them? Is this a critique of religion? No. Is this
so funny that it will make you renounce and sell all your possessions? Yes. Hopefully to me, below cost. I'm broke and need more stuff. For the twelve of you who will find this series funny, thanks in advance and enjoy yourself. We did this for
you.
